Barramundi Bonanza
Arnhemland Barramundi Nature Lodge is located near the Aboriginal community of Maningrida, 400 km north-east of Darwin in Australia's Northern Territory. The Nature Lodge is primarily for anglers seeking an astonishing remote sportfishing experience. The Lodge also offers fascinating Aboriginal eco-cultural where you can submerge yourself in their traditional culture as well as birdwatching and nature tours.

You will have exclusive access to six rivers as well as several costal creeks and freshwater lagoons. You’ll be fishing primarily for barramundi but you will most likely encounter many other saltwater species such as threadfin and blue salmon, giant barracuda, giant trevally, mangrove jack and golden snapper.

$3500 deposit. May be paid with personal check, certified check, money order or credit card. Final payments are typically due 60 days prior to departure.

Roundtrip airfare to Darwin, Australia, airport departure taxes, alcoholic beverages not served with meals, car rentals, gratuities, gifts or items of a personal nature.

The season runs March through December. This coincides with the dry season - June through September.

Arrive at Darwin Airport where you will be transferred to Crowne Plaza Darwin Hotel. Next day you will transferred to the airport for your flight to Maningrida (60-minutes). Upon arrival you will be taken straight to the lodge.

Charter planes are available if you wish to fly directly to the lodge's private airstrip.

Accommodations are large, comfortable safari cabins with spacious ensuite bathrooms. They can sleep up to four people and include flushing toilets, showers, basins, hot and cold water. (private rooms for two anglers are included in this rate.)

You won't go hungry on this trip! Australian breakfasts are hearty, with eggs, rolls, breakfast meats, fruits, tea and coffee and other items to fuel the start of your day. An experienced chef will be cooking your meals where you will have plenty of opportunities to eat fresh fish and mud crabs.

The Lodge also offers interesting Aboriginal eco-cultural as well as birdwatching and nature tours.

Day 1: Depart USA
Day 2: Cross international dateline
Day 3: Arrive Darwin. Overnight hotel.
Day 4: Early morning transfer to airport for flight to Maningrida. Transfer to lodge. Fish upon arrival. Overnight lodge.
Day 5-8: Fish. Overnight lodge.
Day 9: Transfer to Maningrida Airport for return flight to Darwin. Transfer to hotel. Rest of afternoon and evening at leisure.
Day 10: At the appropriate time, you will be transferred to the airport for your international departure home. Arrive home same day.

A valid passport with at least six months validity is required for U.S. citizens. Tourist visas must be arranged in advance, and may be acquired through the international airline. Passengers assume all responsibility for obtaining valid passports and visas.

We recommend you purchase trip cancellation insurance to cover any losses should you have to cancel to due to unforeseen illness or other emergency. Certain restrictions do apply. Premium rates are typically about $65 per $1,000 of coverage, and usually include some benefits for lost baggage, trip interruption, and emergency evacuation. Our recommended packing list and other briefing materials will be furnished on receipt of your trip deposit and reservation form.
