Marty Arostegui is getting ever closer to his goal of having more than 100 world records on the fly. Last summer, Marty scooped up a handful of records for long-nosed and alligator gar in Texas. This summer, he took his family to Thailand and Malaysia, where he achieved the first recorded Mekong catfish on the fly, as well as several other records in snakehead territory.
Last issue, we mentioned Luis Mago’s 26-pound peacock bass had been submitted as a new IGFA 20-lb line class record. Luis tells us his application has now been approved. Congratulations, Luis!
