Head North! To Alaska and Canada
What time of summer should you plan to go? You will probably want to plan your Alaskan fishing trip based on your favorite type of salmon. Book your fishing adventure May to early July to catch king or “chinook” salmon. Sockeye salmon runs are prevalent from June to late July. From mid-July to mid-August, you will find red salmon or pink chum salmon. Catch silver salmon, otherwise called “Coho” salmon, later in the season from July to October.
Or check out Canada's beautiful lakes, rivers, and streams. Canadian lakes are famous for northern pike, trout, bass, muskie and trophy walleye fishing. This is the perfect destination for anglers and non-anglers alike, offering excellent eco-tourism excursions as well as abundant fishing options.
Lock down your summer trip to Alaska or Canada before all the dates are gone!
