Small Thai Lake
Yields Monster Fish
the Bung Sam Lan fishing reserve in Thailand. This fantastic little fishing hole has produced a slew of big catfish, and literally dozens of IGFA world records.
On July 2, Fishing Adventures’ ace guide Lutijrot “Kik” Panphrapat wanted to test one of his custom rods by playing a couple of hefty Mekong cats on Bung Sam Lan. Instead, he hooked into the biggest Siamese carp ever caught at the lake. After an epic battle, the subdued fish came in at a conservatively estimated 260 pounds -- the world's biggest carp ever caught on rod and reel!
Of course, we’ve made Bung Sam Lan the first stop on our “Thai Trifecta,” which also includes beautiful Srinakarin Reservoir for giant snakehead and the new Predator Lake for a host of other exotic species.
Escorted trips run January 20-30 and April 20-30. Trip cost is $3750, plus airfare to Bangkok. The fish of a lifetime is just one cast away.
